It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Wilma R. Damron, age 83, of Martinsville, Ohio, who left this world peacefully on September 2, 2025.
Born on May 16, 1942, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Wilma was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Pollitt) Pence. Beside her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Vern "Buster" Damron on April 16, 2016; two daughters, Debbie Damron and Rose Marie Damron; one granddaughter, April Rose; three brothers, Lane, Bill and Kenneth Pence.
Wilma worked at the Hickory House, where she was appreciated by her coworkers and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like crossword puzzles and nurturing her beautiful flowers.
She will be greatly missed by her family, including her son Vern "Bud" (Candy) Damron, daughters Maggie (Rudy) Loftis and Bonnie (Mark Johnson) Damron, and her beloved grandchildren: Tasha (Travis) Tipton, Tina (Ben Deere) Caulfield, William "Bill" (Sara) Sanderson, and Stacey (Josh Carman) Woodruff, 18 great grandchildren: Madison, Karlee, Trevor, Lil Rob, Hunter, Edge, Welldee, Sean, Andrea, Carter, Carson, Natalie, Shane, Elizabeth, Chelsie, Rylee, Michael and Gracelynn , one great great grandchild, Braylyn Woodruff and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home with burial following in the Gilboa Cemetery.
