William Grooms

William "Bill" Grooms, 60 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born at Mt. Orab, Ohio on February 18, 1943 the son of Mac and Hazel Smith Grooms.
He was retired from Highland Stone.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Grooms and JoAnn Whissel.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Trisdale Grooms of 37 years of Hillsboro, two sons and daughter-in-law, William and Amy Grooms, Jr. of Hillsboro, Gregory Grooms of Hillsboro, three daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Fred Collett of Bainbridge, Cindy Grooms of Hillsboro, Julie Quickle of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, Joe Collett, Adam Collett, Breanna Grooms, Kaleb Grooms, Michael Grooms, Chelsey Quickle, Matt Quickle, one brother, David Grooms of Bellefontaine, five sisters, Grace Palmer of Columbus, Mary Ann Kessel of Georgtown, Maxine Davidson of Hamersville, Velma Grooms of Colorado and Elaine McIntosh of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Clearance Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the Auburn Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
