It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy "Tim" G. Chambers, born on October 23, 1957, in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of the late Lando J. and Geneva Irene (Helterbrant) Chambers. Tim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who left this world on January 24, 2026 at the age of 68.
He spent his life in the embrace of the rolling hills and fertile fields of Highland County, Ohio where he dedicated many years to his passion for farming and the land he cherished.
Tim was a devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, Kathy K. (Igo) Chambers, a proud father to his children, Timothy "TJ" (Deanna) Chambers and Kary Beth (James) Tosto. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caleb Chambers and Brooklyn Tosto, brothers, Dan (Karen) Chambers and Kelly Chambers, sister-in-law, Kolleen (Jerry) Buman, father and mother-in-law, Henry and Beverly (Kelley) Igo, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends, who along with his family, will forever hold dear the memories of his kind heart and steadfast spirit.
Tim was a 1975 graduate of Whiteoak High School where he played basketball and participated in VoAg. He was also a board member for the Union Chapel Church. In addition to his work as a farmer, Tim nurtured a passion for collecting toy tractors and arrowheads, reflecting both his connection to the agricultural roots of his upbringing and his appreciation for the history that shaped our world. Each treasured piece in his collection told a story, much like the life he lived-filled with hard work, joy and a deep love for his family.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January 31, 2026 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at the Union Chapel Cemetery near Belfast.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
In this time of mourning, we find comfort in reflecting on Tim's love for his family, his steadfast dedication to his work and the legacy he leaves behind. He will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on through the stories and memories shared by those he touched.
