S. Thomas Flannery

S. Thomas Flannery, age 90, of Bainbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love. Born on March 31, 1936, in Morehead, Kentucky, Thomas lived a life marked by commitment to family, service, and community. He is preceded by his parents, Ray and Eva (Eldrige) Flannery, daughter, Teresa Flannery, grandson, Bradley Kinnett, son-in-law, Steve Davis and several siblings.



Tom learned his strong work ethic at a young age working at his father's side in the family owned Red Rose Dairy in Morehead, KY. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a devoted member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, where he actively participated in the life of the congregation and formed lasting bonds with fellow parishioners; he looked forward to church on Sundays. Furthermore, he worked and provided for his family as a milk delivery man and later as a cement mason. In his retirement years, he found joy in woodworking, building beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Flannery, son, Tom Flannery, daughters, Lora (Richard Hilderbrandt) Davis and Melinda Lea Chandler, seven grandchildren, Mike, Andrew and Craig Flannery, Robert and Scott Chandler, Matthew Kinnett and Kiley Davis, several great and great great grandchildren, special niece, Pam Hamilton, special friend, Cindy Dean, extended family and a host of friends. Together, they created an enduring family unit grounded in love, laughter, and shared memories. Thomas was a devoted husband and father, and grandfather, his greatest joy found in the moments spent with his family, whether around the dinner table, watching Kentucky Wildcat basketball or in the quiet of their home.

Tom's life was a testament to resilience, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his wife of 68 years, Pat.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday October 3, 2026 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until time of services on Saturday at the church.
