Ronald Olderham

February 17, 1950 — June 30, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Dale Olderham, a cherished father and friend, who left this world on June 30, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 17, 1950, in Argoni, Ohio, Ron lived a life marked by resilience, strength, and unwavering love for his family. Ron is preceded in death by is parents, Stanley an Cecelia (Bost) Olderham, brothers, Robert, Jerry and Terry Olerham and sisters, Frances Waulk and Dorothy Glaze.

Ron was a man of deep convictions and strong character, qualities that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. He was involved with the Free Mason in Berkley, S.C. #269, Scottish Rite in Charleston, S.C., Omar Shrine Temple in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Hillsboro Eagles # 1161, Hillsboro VFW #9094, Hillsboro AMVETS #61 and he served in the United States Army. He dedicated his life to his daughter, Melanie Hatfield and son, Tim Olderham. Their bond was a testimony to the love that can flourish through life's ups and downs. He also is a proud grandfather to Isaiah, Karter and Kynnedi, brother, James Olderham, sister, Judith Duncan and his hunny, Dolly.

Throughout his life, Ron found joy in the simple things: the beauty of nature, the comfort of community, and the warmth of companionship. He approached each day with gratitude, reminding those around him to appreciate the little moments that make life truly special.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.

As we say goodbye to Ron, let us hold close the lessons he imparted and the love he gave so freely. He will forever remain in our hearts.
