Roberta A. Hooley

Roberta A. " Birdie" Hooley, a spirited soul and beloved member of the Hillsboro community, passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on June 17, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Roberta lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and a love for the simple joys of life. She was the daughter of the late Durward and Lucy Lucille (Weaver) Hooley. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her brothers, Kenneth Weaver, Raymond Hooley, Russell Hooley and Richard Hooley and sisters, Carol Holbrook, Rowena Crouse and Kate Davis.

Known for her warmth, generosity, and infectious laughter, Birdie dedicated much of her life to her work as a cook, where she brought comfort and delight to many through her culinary creations. Her talent in the kitchen was matched only by her love for the open road; she was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who embraced life with a free spirit and adventurous heart.



A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
