Richard Rhoads

Richard K. Rhoads, 87 years of Greenfield, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 in the morning hours at the Bethesda North Hospital.

He was born September 23, 1938 in Highland County, OH, the son of the late Winifred and Ada Mae (Gilletly) Rhoads. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann (Newman) Rhoads on March 26, 2020; son, Winifred "Winnie" Rhoads; brothers, Ted, Frank, Russell and Tom Rhoads; sister, Patsy Monteith.

Richard lived his life to the fullest working during the day as a mason/block layer and coming home to take care of his farm. His family was the most important thing to Richard. He was a lifetime member of the Highland County Coon Hunters.

Richard is survived by a son, Harold "Bub" Rhoads; three grandsons, Tim (Courtney) Rhoads, Jared (Emily) Rhoads, Bradley (Sam Jarvis) Rhoads; five great grandchildren, Holly Rhoads, Andrew Rhoads, Tate Rhoads, Tanner Rhoads, Gracie Rhoads; sister, Beverly Chaney; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 P.M., Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. No visitation will be held.
