Plinny D. Blair, Jr.

Plinny D. Blair, Jr. 92 years of age of Hillsboro, OH, passed away on Friday, August 04, 2023.
Plinny was born March 05, 1931, in Brush Creek Township, Highland County, OH., the son of the late Plinny D. Blair, Sr. and Hazel L. (Yarger) Blair. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amber Blair; two brothers, John D. Blair and Daniel Lee Blair; two sisters, Barbara Jane Adams and Nancy Wyckoff.
Plinny's dad, Plinny Blair, Sr. went to work for Burt England who owned a plumbing business in Hillsboro and in 1931 bought the business from Mr. England. Plinny Jr. went to work for his father in 1945. During the Korean War, Plinny would enlist in the U.S. Air Force and serve his Country. After returning from his enlistment in the military, Plinny returned to Hillsboro working in the family plumbing business until his retirement in 1993, which at that time his son, David, the third generation would continue Blair Plumbing and today has served the Hillsboro Community for 92 years. Plinny also owned the Blair Modern Trailer Court in Hillsboro from 1989 until 2018.
Plinny is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beulah (Grabill) Blair who were married December 9, 1956; two sons, David (Angie) Blair of Hillsboro, Timothy (Julie) Blair of Hillsboro; grandchildren Haley (James) Stangle of Chiilicothe and Samantha Jo Blair of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Alice Blair of Hillsboro; brother-in-law, Elbert Graybill of Miamisburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
