Philip M. Ferris, 91 years of Hillsboro, OH., died Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.
He was born July 31, 1916 at Remington, OH, the son of the late William B. and Bertha Moran Ferris. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Philip was a graduated of Maryville College, a member and served as a deacon of the Hillsboro 1st Presbyterian Church, retired farmer and carpenter.
On June 22, 1940 he was united in marriage to Beatrice Meacham Ferris who survives. He is also survived by one son, Martin Ferris of Rougemont, NC; two daughters, Marlyn Ridgway of Red Wood City, CA and Rebecca Ferris of Cincinnati, OH; brother, John Ferris; sister, Lois Rose; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
