Patricia A. "Pat" Lyons, 76 years of Latham, passed away Thursday morning, April 20, 2023 in the comfort of her home.
Pat was born April 21, 1946, to the late Charles Martin and Betty Lou ( Litteral) Ison also of Latham. On October 27, 1967, Pat was united in marriage to George Edward Lyons. Together they had their only child Lisa Michelle, who has always been their pride and joy.
George and Lisa survive along with seven of Pat's brothers; Bob (Dianna) Ison of Waverly, Phil Ison of Peebles, Bill (Dora) Ison of Piketon, Mike Ison of Latham, Tom (Vicky) Ison of Bainbridge, John Ison of Waverly, Jay Ison of Waverly. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Ison.
Pat attended Western Local Schools and learned the art of cosmetology at Paramount in Portsmouth, Ohio and under the assistance of Sarah Lowman where she found her calling. As the oldest and only girl in a family of eight boys, Pat quickly became more of a second mom to her brood of brothers.
Along with these loved ones, she leaves to cherish her loving memory to several nieces, and nephews, her faithful pet Caeser, and special clients and friends including Ruth Gillenwater who was the best friend anyone could have.
Pat will be forever remembered for her caring nature, love of all things purple, uncanny ability to cut curly hair, and secret recipe for the coveted Christmas snack mix she lovingly called "Scramble". In her final days, she felt the Lord's spirit and surrendered her heart to Jesus.
Funeral services for Pat will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. Pastor Brian Birkhimer will officiate with
burial to follow in the Washburn Cemetery near Byington, Ohio..
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
