Patricia L. Fields, 86, of Hillsboro passed peacefully at home on April 15th, 2023, surrounded by her children.
Pat had very strong values which were reinforced by her Faith and passed on to her family. She remained a loyal and very active member of Good News Gathering church for the last 23 years.
She devoted her life to serving others. Some of her volunteer work included The Alzheimer's Organization, Good Samaritan Outreach, Hospice, EMT, The Daily Bread Outreach, Fostering Children, and traveling worldwide providing mission assistance in Haiti and Israel.
Her hobbies included reading, needlework, drawing and painting. She was a member and served on the council of the Leesburg Art Guild, often winning awards for her work.
Pat's career started as a waitress in some of Dayton's finest restaurants, she was a Nurse's Aide at Miami Valley Hospital, a Paralegal in a prominent Dayton Law Firm, and Entrepreneur of a successful local Hillsboro business, "Fields Arts, Crafts, and Antiques".
Given her commitment to helping those in need her entire life, Pat was a true role model and loved by all.

Pat was born November 4, 1936 in Endicott, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (Stout) Haggerty. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Swift and Howard Fields; one son, Ed Swift.
Pat is survived by one son, Michael P. (Lauri A.) Swift of Murfreesboro, TN.; six daughters, Letty (Bill) Allen of New Vienna, OH., Mary (Steve) Bikowsky of Hillsboro, OH., Peggy (Ron) Shafer of Hillsboro, OH., Laura Catron of Hillsboro, OH., Molly (Linda) Swift of Anthem, AZ., Sara Fields of Hillsboro, OH.; 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Pat) Haggerty of FL; two sisters, Mary Kay Young of Centerville, OH., Eileen Arns of FL.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 22nd from 12:00-1:00. Followed by a
Celebration of Life Ceremony at Good News Gathering; 6250 US 62 South, Hillsboro, OH. 45133.
Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery.
