Misty Lynn Tarr, age 50, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on March 25, 2026.
Misty was born on September 14, 1975, in Washington CH, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter, of the late Gary Simmons and Naomi (Penwell) Simmons of Fayetteville, Ohio.
Misty was a dedicated worker at Sum Place Else where she thrived as a server, known for her warm smile and vibrant personality. She was deeply passionate about her family, friends and cherished her role as "Mimi" to her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She loved all music and enjoyed traveling.
Beside her mother, Misty is survived by her loving husband, Richard Tarr; her children, Richard (Sabrina) Tarr, Zachary Neal, Jeremiah Tarr, Nicole (Michael) McGinnis, and Katelyn (Mitchell) Griner; her grandchildren, Meila, Marshall, Richard, Nellie, Wesley, and Myra; her brother, Dana Simmons; her sister, Penny (Guy) Evans; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro, OH 45133.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Misty's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be profoundly missed.
