In Loving Memory of Mary Linn

Mary Linn, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on May 11, 1941, in her beloved hometown of Hillsboro, Ohio, Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Born to the late Dr. Walter H. and Velma (Walker) Fenner, Mary was raised in a close-knit family alongside her brothers Wayne, Dwayne, Gene, and Ralph, as well as her sisters Doris Younker, Donna Ferrell, and Ann Fenner-Williams. Within the warmth of this family, she cultivated the values of love, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to her loved ones.

On August 16, 1959, Mary entered a lifelong partnership of love and devotion with her beloved husband, Carl W. Linn who departed this life on August 12, 2016. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around their shared values and unwavering commitment to their children, Mark and Carla. Mary and Carl navigated life's joys and challenges, hand in hand, for 56 years, creating cherished memories and a legacy of love that will forever endure.

A woman of deep faith, Mary was a member of the Rainsboro Church of Christ. Her unwavering faith provided her with strength, comfort, and guidance throughout her life's journey. She found solace and community within the walls of the church, where she served as a source of support and kindness to all who crossed her path.

Mary was a beacon of love and warmth within her family. She leaves behind her son, Mark Linn of Columbus, and her daughter, Carla (Chuck) McCullough of Hillsboro, who will forever carry their mother's love within their hearts. Mary's beautiful spirit will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Ashley Swearingen (Nichael), Allison Howell (Brandon), and Sara Brown (Ryan); four great grandchildren and brother-in-law, Tony Younker. Through the bonds of family, Mary's legacy will live on, as her values and love are passed down from generation to generation.

Friends and family may offer their condolences Monday, January 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2024 at the Thompson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hamer Township Cemetery.
