Marvin Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marvin L. Wilson, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on January 7, 2026, at the age of 90. A lifelong resident of Hillsboro, OH, Marvin was known for his warm smile, kind spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family, community, and Jesus.

Born on April 30, 1935, in Penn Township, the son of the late Estel and Inez (Whitley) Wilson. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his wife, Mitzi (Fenton) Wilson on December 10, 2017, brothers, Early and Donald Wilson and sisters, Janer Hibberd, Shirley Peters and Joyce King.

Marvin started in the real estate and auction business in 1958. He founded the Marvin Wilson Company that now operates as Wilson National LLC that is currently being run by his son Mark and grandson Brandon with a recent addition of grandson Jake. He served as Trustee for Cincinnati Christian University. He helped found and served as a trustee for Person to Person Ministries. He was a founding member, shepherd, trustee, and example of faith for River Hills Christian Church. He served as Preacher/Minister for Marshall Church of Christ and Leesburg Church of Christ. He helped churches and preached revivals across the country. He led thousands of people to Jesus.


Marvin is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Jeff) Metzger; son, Mark (Alice) Wilson; brothers, Larry (Shirley) Wilson, Curtis (Cinda) Wilson, John (Sharon) Wilson, sister, Shari (Earl) Silva. He took great joy in his role as a grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Jake (Laura) Wilson, Brandon (Kelly) Wilson, Erin (Jeremy) Conn, Dr. Adam (Tara) Metzger, and Joshua (Lori) Metzger and great grandchildren, Kate Conn, James Conn, Matthew Conn, Clayton Conn, Lillie Metzger, Ellie Metzger, Jacob Brehm, Aiden Brehm, Silas Wilson, Barrett Willson, Ronin Wilson and Ambrose Wilson. He will also be remembered by his brother-in-law, Pat King.

Marvin's life will be honored with a Celebration of Life service at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 155 W. Walnut St, Hillsboro, OH 45133, on Saturday January 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, a public Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at the Hillsboro Church of Christ beginning at 11:00 am.

All who knew Marvin are invited to join in remembrance and to share their cherished memories with his family.
