Kerstin D. Walker, age 30, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 18, 1995, and passed away November 11, 2025, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Johnny Walker and Fay Rogers Alexander, and her late stepfather William Joel Alexander. At age 5, her family moved to Hillsboro where she graduated from Hillsboro High School in the class of 2014.
Kerstin was a talented, artistic and independent person whose passion was dance. At age 3, she began ballet lessons in Cincinnati at the Sasha Hart School of Ballet and performed in many recitals and events throughout her high school years with performances at Lakota High School, Schuster Center and Xavier University. She also attended Southern State Community College.
In her early years, she participated in soccer, softball, Girl Scouts, junior high cheerleading and children's choir at the Hillsboro Methodist Church and YMCA activities.
She is survived by her son, Luke McCoy; her father Johnny Walker; mother Fay Alexander; siblings, Alexandria (Edward) Legendre, Deborah (Michael Loeb) Walker, William Tennyson Alexander, Maximus Alexander, and Lydia Millard; nieces and nephews Allie, Gabriel, Caroline and Henry; paternal grandmother Patricia Durham; paternal step-grandparents, Bill and Carleen Alexander (Christopher and Ben, uncles), maternal god-grandfather Keith Crain; maternal great grandmother Clara Greber; aunt, Beth Combs; godmother Deb Rodgers; and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kerstin was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Joel Alexander, who helped raise her from an early age, and her maternal grandparents Linda Ervin and Alan Rogers.
Kerstin loved her son Luke dearly and shared that her favorite moments of peace were with him. She enjoyed participating in outdoor activities with Luke, like fishing and hiking. She was even teaching him simple auto-mechanics and home repair to ensure his independence and show that no problem in life is too big to fix.
Kerstin will be greatly missed. As an organ donor, she left the gift of life for others. Her gift will grant mobility, improve sight for others, allow those with burns to heal, and others to breathe. She had a compassionate, giving heart and now dances among the angels.
