**Obituary for Jonathon "John" Harold Wallace Sr.**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathon "John" Harold Wallace, Sr., who left us on May 18, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born on August 23, 1957, in Highland County, Ohio, the son of the late Harold L. and Elizabeth J. (Bussey) Wallace. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cherryle Ann "Sherry" (Howard) Wallace on September 21, 2021; two brothers, James Wallace and Michael Wallace; sister, Kathy Robinson. John was a beloved father, brother, and friend to many.

A proud graduate of Whiteoak High School, he dedicated his career to Midwest Express, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

John was an avid coin collector and a passionate fan of college sports, especially Ohio State football. His enthusiasm for the Buckeyes didn't just make him a fan; it brought joy and camaraderie to everyone around him.

He is survived by his four children, daughter, Brooke Howard of Springfield, OH., sons, Jonathon Harold (Jessica) Wallace, Jr. of Fayetteville, OH., Jeffrey Wallace of Highland, OH., Sean (Heather) Howard of Springfield, OH.; his legacy will live on in the hearts of his seven grandchildren: Brooklyn Wallace, Gage McGuire, Jonathon Harold Wallace, III, Alyssa Wallace, Trinity Ann Smith, Gabby Howard, and Dakota Wilson. He also leaves behind his two loving sisters, Susie (Bruce) Frazer of Hillsboro, OH. and Christy Gall of Columbus, OH., along with his sister-in-law Susan Wallace of Hillsboro, OH.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

To honor John's life, a public viewing will take place at Thompson Funeral Home, 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro, OH. 45133, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM. Following the viewing, we invite all who knew and loved John to join us for a funeral service at 3:30 PM. Afterward, he will be cremated, as per his wishes.

John's spirit will continue to inspire everyone he met. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
