Jon Warner

October 23, 1939 — July 10, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jon Ernest Warner, 85 years of Winchester and Beverly Gail Warner, 81 years of Winchester. They entered the presence of the Lord and Savior on July 10, 2025.

Jon was born on October 23, 1939 in Miami County to the late Ernest and Esther (Iddings) Warner. Besides his parents, Jon is preceded by his son, James Shelby Warner and sister, Jane Etter.

Jon graduate from Milton-Union High School and McPherson College in McPherson Kansas with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He loved being outside, farming, hunting and fishing and enjoyed the company of having a good dog all his life. Jon was a member of the Methodist Church and supported many missions over the years. Both he and Beverly traveled to Haiti 20 times over their lives to help assist with One Mission Society there.

Beverly was born on January 1, 1944 to the late Grover and Elizabeth (Sheets) Price. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her son, James Shelby Warner and sister, Sharon Gorrell.

Beverly was a proud graduate of Northmont High School and earned her degree in elementary education from Manchester College in Manchester, Indiana. She began her career as an elementary school teach for Hillsboro and North Adams Schools, nurturing young hearts and minds with patience and love. Later, answering the call to ministry, she served for a decade as a local pastor at Sugar Tree Ridge and Hillsboro United Methodist Church. In addition to her pastoral ministry, Beverly worked as a Care Coordinator for Hills and Dales for 10 years, continuing her mission of compassion and Christ-like service.

Beverly's life was a testimony to her faith, marked by love, prayer, and joyful obedience to God's call. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, teacher, pastor, and missionary. She cherished quiet moments with a good book and a glass of iced tea, always finding joy in the simple blessings God provided. Though her earthly journey has ended, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life, knowing her and Jon now rests in the arms of Jesus.
