John Gillespie

John Daniel Gillespie age 58 of the Winchester and Mowrystown communities passed away on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 at home.

He was born August 30th 1966, the son of James W. Gillespie and Peggy Rector.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Melissa who he married on July 29th, 1989, daughter Cora Gillespie, son Chad (Iceces) Gillespie, Granddaughter and "Light of his Life" Casey Mae Gillespie, brother Michael "Mick" Gillespie, sister Laura (Ken) Buehner as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was an active farmer in the area raising cattle and grain crops. He attended the Greenfield First Baptist Church, enjoyed the brotherhood of the Masonic Lodge, and served the Emmaus Community of Washington Court House on many teams and the board.

Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday August 2, 2025 at the Greenfield 1st Baptist Church.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church.
