John Leslie Adkins, 54 years of Latham, died Friday, August 8, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Fayette County on August 10, 1048 the son of Leslie and Venus Rollins Adkins.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son brian Adkins, one brother Chester Adkins, two sisters Wilma Adkins and Clara Jane.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Adkins whom he married on April 12, 1992, five sons Jeff, Shane, Johny and Kyle Adkins and Mathew Keaton, three daughters, Jennifer Caudill, Marie Taylor, Leslie McQuin, two brothers Arnold Adkins, David Adkins, two half brothers, James Adkins, Kevin Adkins, six sisters, Betty Cox, Delcie Reynolds, Dessie Ralston, Joann Hiser, Leota Benson, Dorothy Lowman and Alice Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Latham Christian Union Church with Rev. James Daulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lapperell Cemetery.
Frineds may call on Monday at the Church from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 2:00 P.M.
The Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Latham Christian Union Church.
