It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry R. Richmond, who departed this life on February 4, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on February 19, 1947, in Corbin, Kentucky, Jerry was the son of the late Walter W. and Vena (Mahan) Richmond. He led a life that was rich in love, laughter, and service to his family and country.

His commitment to his country was a testament to his character, embodying the values of bravery and dedication.

After returning home, Jerry found his calling in the stone quarry industry, where he worked as a fabricator for Hanson Aggregates until his retirement in 2009. A man of many talents, he found joy in tinkering with mowers and spent countless weekends fishing and camping - activities that brought him peace and a sense of connection with nature. Jerry cherished moments shared with his beloved puppy, "Buddy", who was a constant companion and provided him with unwavering joy.
