On December 4, 2025, the world lost a shining light with the passing of Janet A. Coomer, born on March 30, 1944. Janet lived a life full of love, creativity, and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that touched the hearts of many. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty (Shaffer) Stevens and her loving husband, John E. Coomer.

A faithful servant and cherished member of her community, Janet was known not only for her incredible craftsmanship in sewing and baking but also for her famous cherry pies that delighted family and friends alike. She took immense joy in her time spent singing in the church choir, where her melodious voice uplifted the spirits of everyone around her.

Above all, Janet was a devoted family member. She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for her loved ones, instilling in them the same values of love and kindness that defined her own existence. Her warm smile and generous heart will forever be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Thomas) Snyder and Kathleen (Robert Eric) Rhoads, grandchildren, Joshua Eric (Katelyn) Rhoads and Brittany Nicole Rhoads, two great grandchildren, Sutton Eric Rhoads and Cove Douglas Rhoads and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Friday December 12, 2025, at the Thompson Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:30 PM at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services on Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.

As we bid farewell to Janet, we celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her laughter, love, and the sweet aroma of her cherry pies will remain with us forever.
