James H. Suiter, age 75, of Seaman, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026.
He was born on March 25, 1951, in Hillsboro, Ohio, the son of the late Roy and Evelyn (Arledge) Suiter. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosazella (Cole) Suiter on September 12, 2008; four brothers, Roger, Bill, Johnny and Robert "Bob".
Jim grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside, which would shape his lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
A proud graduate of Hillsboro High School, Jim dedicated many years of his life to hard work, primarily at the Candle-lite Company. His strong work ethic extended beyond the factory; he also engaged in farm work and enjoyed cutting firewood to provide warmth for his loved ones. These labors were not merely tasks for Jim, but a reflection of his deep connection to nature, carving out a life that celebrated the simple joys of the earth.
Jim had a profound love for the outdoors, particularly in hunting mushrooms, ginseng, and yellow root. He delighted in feeding birds and cherished the companionship of all animals, finding peace in their presence. Yet, his greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Betty (William) Moore, and son, Billy (Heidi) Suiter. His love extended to his grandchildren-Ashley (Raymond) Cox, Billy Suiter, Hailey (Shane) Huff, and Brianna Suiter-as well as his great-grandchildren, Ryze Cox, Braydon Huff, Peyton Huff, and Aubrey Huff.
Jim is also survived by his beloved sisters, Katie (Jim) Morrison, Linda Murphy, and Dollie Temple, who held a special place in his heart, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date.
