Harold Hunt

February 25, 1947 — June 28, 2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Harold Lee Hunt, who departed this world peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Harold was a beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend, whose zest for life and passion for mushroom hunting brought joy to many. Harold is preceded by his parents, Ernest and June (Rice) Hunt, Sr., wife, Donna (Fisher) Hunt, brothers, Allen and Rex Hunt and sister, Betty Royster.

Born on February 25, 1947, Harold was a proud American with deep roots in his local community. He dedicated his life to nurturing his family and shared his love of nature and exploration with his children and grandchildren. Harold's spirit will continue to prosper in the hearts of his daughters, Terri (Randy) Grooms, Tina (Sam) Alley, and Tisa (Rick) Skaggs, as well as his son Harold Hunt, Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephen Alley, Samuel Alley, Joseph Alley, John Alley, Isaac Alley, Jeannette Thomas, David Hunt, Sara Hunt and Samantha Hunt, brothers, Ralph Hunt and Steve Hunt, his dog, Chuck and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends will also carry forward cherished memories of their time together.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at the Sinking Spring Community Church. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery.


Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the church.

Harold Lee Hunt will be profoundly missed but forever celebrated for the joy, laughter, and warmth he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
