Gene A Brewer

Gene A. Brewer, 93 of Hillsboro, OH passed away Monday August 10, 2026, at home in Salisbury, Indiana.

He was born February 8 1933, in Berea, KY to the late George M. and Martha F. (Day) Brewer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Jr., Russell, Noel and Delbert Brewer, two stepsons, Kevin and Derek Carlson and his loving wife, Karen Elizabeth (Uphoff) Brewer, who he married on February 24, 1985.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Gene Brewer and daughter, Rachelle Lynn Winfree, stepson, Scott Carlson, two sisters, Patricia Short and Barbara Everidge, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gene served in the Navy during the Korean War and later worked for the US Postal Service until retirement. He was proud to have obtained a private pilot's license and loved to fly family and friends around the country.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday August 25, 2206, 1:00 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery.
