Emma Jean (Smith) Puckett, 88 of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of the Sinking Spring community, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025 at the Hospice of Hope in Seaman, Ohio.
Born September 27, 1937, in Pike County, Ohio to the late Walter Earl and Nita Merle (Locke) Smith. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her 9 siblings: Etta Faye, Bud, Eleanor, Harry, Earl, Armetha, Maxine, Jim and John and several nieces and nephews.
Emma is survived by her husband, Harry Austin (Jack) Puckett of over 70 years of marriage, her 7 children, Alan Puckett, David Puckett, Jackie (Rick) Seeling, Eddy (Deanna) Puckett, Jeana (Bruce) Dean, Jana (Randy) Wigington and Dirk Puckett, 65 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Emma loved her Lord and Savior and her family. She also loved raising flowers in her many flowerbeds. Watching and feeding her many kinds of birds and keeping their feeders full year-round. She enjoyed singing all the time, whether to her grandchildren, in her flower gardens or church.
One of the most fulfilling things was playing softball with her kids or the neighborhood kids at Fort Hill with family reunions.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM on Monday October 13, 2025 at the Grace Bible Church in Sinking Spring, Ohio. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Sinking Spring.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Monday at the church.
