**Obituary for Edna Wesley**
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Wesley of Latham, OH., a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 96, at the residence of her daughter.
Born on March 22, 1930, in East Monroe, OH, Edna was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Lillian (Thatcher) Younker; beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.Robert Wesley; three sisters, Ruth Malone, Edith Storey and Beverly Hackworth; one brother, Clyde Younker.
Edna dedicated many years as a nurses aid, and also worked in various roles, including cleaning homes and in restaurants. But her most important job was being a loving matriarch to her family, which brought her immense joy. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Vilma Penn, and her three grandsons, Ronald, Richard, and Dwayne Penn, along with several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special nephew, Doug Younker, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, who will continue to carry on her legacy of love.
A deeply devoted Christian, Edna found her spiritual home at Smith Chapel Church and the Byington Church of Christ in Christian Union, where she loved to sing and praise God. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she shared that faith with everyone around her.
