Don L. "Donnie" Milburn, 85 years of Chillicothe, formerly of the Belfast Community, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
He was born September 8, 1939 in Belfast, OH., the son of the late Kenneth L. and Florence M. (Elliott) Milburn. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosilee (Dixon) Milburn on November 25, 2002; grandson, Robert M. Maxwell; brother, Charles (Elaine) Milburn; sister, Nancy (Bob) Garman.
Donnie was a 1957 graduate of Belfast High School and had attended THE Ohio State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Donnie was a former member of the Belfast Church of Grace (Formerly United Methodist) Church where he was raised and raised his family in the church as well. He would later attend the Hilltop Mission in Chillicothe. Donnie was born and raised on a farm in Belfast and continued as a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1989. He then went to work at Airborne in Wilmington and worked there for 13 years.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Devanis E. (Gallimore) Milburn, who were united in marriage June 12, 2004; four daughters, Dianna (Bill) Day of Cincinnati, OH., Lisa Milburn of Wilmington, OH., Joann (Joseph) Serratious of Dayton, OH., Susan (Hugh Wayne) Stultz of Hillsboro; three step daughters, Diana Williamson of Chillicothe, OH., Patricia (Mike) Dibler of Tahlequah, OK., Christina (Tom) Brown of Chillicothe, OH.; three step sons, Michael (Brenda) Gallimore of Chillicothe, OH., Gary Malott of Chillicothe, OH., William (Diana) Malott of Waters Cove, VA.; five grandchildren, Wyatt (Brittney) Burba, Heather Burba, Riley (Breanna, Fiance) Burba, Ashley (Joshua Miner) Milburn, Jessica (Cody Head) Day, seven great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step-great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Graveside service with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Guard will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Hillsboro.
