Donna J. Eaglin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna J. Eaglin, age 69, who departed this world on October 27, 2026, at her home in Hillsboro, Ohio. Born on January 26, 1957, in Wilmington, Ohio, Donna was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, a cherished member of her community, and a faithful member of the Harriett Community Church.
She is preceded by her parents, Robert Shaffer and Martha (Trochelman); son, Shane Hibbs, sister, Tawanna Smetana, brother, Bobby Shaffer and step-father, Charles Trochelman.

Donna was proud of her Appalachian Band Cherokee Indian heritage and carried the values and traditions of her ancestry with grace and dignity throughout her life.

Donna's sons, Chad Hibbs and Mark Hibbs, were the lights of her life. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Trenton, Drayk and Derek, six great grandchildren, brothers, Danny (Vicky) Shaffer, Wayne (Sandy) Shaffter and Tony (Rhonda) Shaffer and several nieces, nephews and. a host of friends.
She found joy in gardening, nurturing the earth and watching her plants flourish, mirroring her nurturing spirit. Additionally, Donna's love for singing brought joy to her heart and those around her, as she would fill spaces with melodies that lifted spirits and created warmth.

Donna will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she unconditionally shared with her family and friends. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
