**Obituary for Dirk Puckett**

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dirk A Puckett, who departed this life on February 10, 2026, in Chillicothe, OH. A beloved son, father and brother, Dirk was known for his big heart and unwavering commitment to helping others. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Dirk was born in Chillicothe on December 17, 1974, and raised in Sinking Spring, OH, he was the son of Harry "Jack" and the late Emma (Smith) Puckett. Dirk was a 1993 graduate of Peebles High School and pursued his passion for serving others by earning an Associate's Degree from Southern State Community College. For 12 years, he served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Hillsboro before dedicating another 14 years to the City of Chillicothe. Dirk took immense pride in his work and was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Outside of his professional life, Dirk enjoyed music and loved going to concerts. He had a great sense of humor that could light up any room. Dirk also cherished his time playing baseball and coaching his son's team, sharing his love for the game with younger generations. He had a passion to work out and lift weights.

Dirk is survived by his father, Harry "Jack" Puckett; his brothers, Alan, David, and Eddy (Deanna) Puckett; his sisters, Jackie (Rick) Seeling, Jeana (Bruce) Dean, and Jana (Randy) Wigginton; as well as his cherished children, Caleb and Kiley Puckett; his aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. His family and friends are heartbroken but grateful for the memories.

To honor Dirk, a public viewing will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Davis officiating.

A graveside service with Firefighter's honors follow will at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring, OH.
