Diana Bates

Diana Bates, 69, passed away in Blue Ash Hospice Center in Cinicnnati Ohio. She was born on February 4, 1957, to the late Elmer and Hazel Stevens.

Diana loved crocheting, taking pictures with her family and friends, Betty Boop and WWE. Above all else, she loved her babies.

She worked at Rose's Department Store for 12 years before retiring so she could stay home and care for her mother.

Diana was blessed with a large and loving family, whom she cherished more than anything.

She had a heart of gold. She was kind, soft-spoken and always took the time to answer a question for help solve a problem no matter how small.

She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Johnna Smail (Brad McElwee), sister, Evelyn (Daniel) Coyle and her brother, Gary Stevens. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Austin Smail (Makayla Case), Amanda (Dustin) Tackett and Bradley (Scotty) McElwee, Jr, her cherished great grandchildren, Trayton, Damian, James, Trystion, Austin Jr. and Rhealynn. She is also survived by her nephews and niece, Daniel Coyle, Jr. (Ashley Gabehart), Joshua Coyle, Denise Long and family of Kentucky; as well as several great nieces and nephews, Aiden, Kacen, Everly, Jaelan and Kaia; aunts and uncle, Lula Mackenzie, Delilah Morrison, Hazel Todd and Terry Morrison (Kathy Maxwell).

Diana was preceded by her parents, baby brother, Arnold Stevens and her beloved husband, Jimmy Bates.
