It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Curtis A. Wilson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Born on June 3, 1944, in Hillsboro, Ohio, Curtis departed this life on June 1, 2026, just two days shy of his 82nd birthday, leaving behind a legacy of love, knowledge, and kindness. Curtis is preceded by his parents, Estel and Inez (Whitley) Wilson, brothers, Early, Donald and Marvin Wilson and sisters, Janet Hibberd, Shirley Peters and Joy King.
Curtis dedicated much of his life to education, inspiring generations of students throughout his career as a teacher. His passion for learning and his commitment to the youth were evident in every classroom he entered. A proud member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Curtis found strength and community through his faith, enriching the lives of those around him with his wisdom and compassion.
Curtis is survived by his devoted wife, Cinda (Yarger) Wilson, son, Cy (Liesl) Wilson, grandson, AJ Wilson, brothers: Larry (Shirley) Wilson and John (Sharon) Wilson, sister, Shari (Earl) Silva and brother-in-law, Pat King. Together, they shared countless memories, laughter, and love, further testament to the bonds he cherished throughout his life.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday June 6, 2026 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday June 5, 2026 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
As we say goodbye, let us carry forward the lessons Curtis taught us, the kindness he showed, and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
