It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles "Joe" Hammock, age 73, who left us on September 4, 2026, in Hillsboro, Ohio. Born on July 31, 1953, in Harlan, Kentucky, Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He dedicated many years of his life to working at the Ford factory, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his colleagues. He is preceded by his parents, Charles and Bobbie (Marsh) Hammock, Sr.
Joe was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, often embarking on hunting adventures, and he had a profound love for motorcycles that brought him both excitement and freedom. Above all, his family held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Robin (Craig) Hammock, son, Charles "Joey" (Leilani), daughter, Shaylen (Robert) Byrd, grandchildren, John, Aeris, Aidan and Hazel, great grandchild, Cyrus, sisters, Veda Hammock and Myra Hammock and a host of friends.
Joe is remembered not just for his hobbies but for his compassionate spirit and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. His kindness and gentle nature touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
