**Obituary for Carol Setty**

Carol Setty, 84 years of Hillsboro, departed peacefully on May 18, 2025. Carol was born on November 26, 1940, in Hillsboro, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys (Capliner) Setty. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Setty.

Carol was a lifelong resident of Hillsboro, a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School.

Carol was deeply involved in her community. A member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, she found joy and fellowship in sharing her faith with others. Carol was also known for her contributions as a 4H Advisor, guiding young minds in the Sewing and Cooking Club and proudly participating in the Hillsboro Livestock Club.

Perhaps one of Carol's most cherished roles was that of caregiver. She lovingly cared for her parents during their later years, exemplifying the compassion and dedication that defined her character.

Carol is survived by her dear cousin, Sandra Dameron, and friend, Mary Painter; 3 nephews and 1 niece who will remember her fondly, as will all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service will be held in Carol's honor at New Market Baptist Cemetery on May 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Brad Clouse will officiate services. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her.
