Carol Lee Carmen, 78 years of Fairborn, OH., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton.
Carol was born December 5, 1944 in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, to the late Matthew J. and Pearl (Smal) Wegiel. Beside her parents, Carol is also preceded in death by her twin brother, William J. Wegiel; son-in-law, Adam T. Brewer; brother-in-law, Carl Brewer and mother-in-law, Erma Soroko.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 61 years, George "Eddie" Carmen; her only child, Tina Brewer of Hillsboro, OH.; grandchildren, Amy Lynn (Roger) Storer, Heather (Daniel) Vore, Justin (Betty) Brewer, and Joe Brewer, great grandchildren, Lilith, Eleanor, Chaslynn and Josie; sister-in-law, Kitty (David) Sweet; nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss her.
Carol lived a full and enjoyable life. She lived in Japan, Hawaii, Washington State and New Mexico. She loved animals, nascar, fishing, hunting and flowers. She was the mechanic for their stock cars that Eddie raced. She and Eddie raised 6 horses from 1978 until 2002 when she developed heart disease. At some point, they have had, dogs, cats, squirrels, rabbits, chickens and a monkey.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Pastor Ken Keeton will officiate with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M at the Thompson Funeral Home .
