Bradley Bourne

November 30, 1938 — October 5, 2025

With a spirit that shone brightly and a heart that embraced all who knew him, Bradley Clay Bourne, of Hillsboro, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2025. At the age of 86, he leaves behind a cherished legacy, filled with love, creativity, and joy. He was the son of the late Cabell and Irene (Casey) Bourne. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his brother, Bill Bourne.

Bradley proudly served in the U.S. Army, where his dedication and commitment were evident. he is also known as an accomplished artist, using his talents to bring beauty into the world and inspire those around him. His creative spirit was matched only by his devotion to his family. He found boundless joy in the laughter and accomplishments of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Bradley is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Jane (Helterbrand) Bourne, married on September 25, 1961, who stood by his side through every chapter of their adventure together. Their love was a testament to the beauty of companionship and partnership. Bradley also leaves behind his children, Aaron (Sandy) Bourne, Keith (Donna) Bourne, Clayton Bourne, Jarred (Melissa) Bourne, Robin (Rick) Yochum and Jill Hogsett, 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sister, Ruth Elliott and sister-in-law, Carmen Bourne.


Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday October 9, 2025, at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Bradley will be remembered not only for his artistic talents and military service but also for the love he bestowed upon his family and the joy he brought to every gathering. He will be deeply missed yet forever in our hearts.
