Beverly McNeilan

Beverly (Brown) McNeilan, 85, a lifelong resident of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on June 4, 2026.

Beverly was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and dedication to her family. She worked for 18 years at Kmart, where she formed many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless customers and coworkers. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and knitting, often creating treasured gifts for those she loved.

She is survived by her children, Tammy McNeilan (Al) Hoover of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Tim McNeilan of Hillsboro, Ohio; and Angela McNeilan Bennett of Hillsboro, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandsons, Alexander Bennett and Anderson Bennett, both of Hillsboro, Ohio; her granddaughter, Candace McNeilan of Hillsboro, Ohio; her sister, Mildred Coyte of Michigan; as well as two great-grandsons, several nieces, nephews and several cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert McNeilan; her parents, Leo and Josephine Brown; her brothers, Howard Brown, Harold Brown, Herbert Brown, Bob Brown, Chuck Brown, Roy Brown, Harry Brown; and her grandson, Zachary Puckett.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Monday June 15, 2026 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Donations can be made to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults.

Beverly will be remembered for her love of family, her caring nature, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
