It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty M. Reno, who left this world on May 30, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on October 1, 1930, in Highland Ohio, Betty enriched the lives of many through her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit. She was a cherished member of the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, where she found joy in walking and square dancing, activities that brought her much happiness and community. She is preceded by her parents, Raymond and Grace (Haney) Smith, husband, Jack Reno and siblings.
Betty was known for her unwavering zest for life and the love she shared with those around her. She had a unique ability to light up any room and always made those around her feel special. Her laughter, stories, and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Jim) Michael, Pam (Daryl) Kelch and Valerie Fawley, seven grandchildren, Brent Kelch, Ryan (Jonie) Kelch, Nathan (Sarah) Kelch, Nicki (Jared) Emery, Kevin Michael, Jenny (Dave) Whiting and Katie (Matt) Moleski, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Betty Reno will forever remain in our hearts, a beloved matriarch who embodied love and joy.
