Belva "BJ" Baker

Belva "BJ" Baker, a vibrant spirit born on August 21, 1960, in Wilmington, Ohio, journeyed into eternal rest on August 15, 2025. BJ's life was a beautiful tapestry woven from love, creativity, and adventure. She is preceded by her mother, Ella Mae (Lewis) Richmond.

BJ spent her professional life in the steel industry, where she brought strength and tenacity to her work. Beyond her career, she was a proud veteran of the United States Army, embodying resilience and dedication both in service and in her daily life. An artist at heart, BJ expressed her creativity not only through her work but also as a talented permanent makeup tattoo artist, helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

A passionate traveler, she explored new horizons with a curiosity that inspired those around her. Her love for weaving extended beyond physical threads; it reflected her ability to connect with others and create meaningful bonds within her community, particularly through the weaving club she cherished.

BJ is survived by her father, Kenneth Richmond, husband, Mark Baker, son, James Arney, grandchildren, Max and Carter Arney, sister, Brenda (Julius) Sharp, wonderful sisters-in-law and a host of friends. BJ's infectious spirit and tenacious love for life will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

On behalf of BJ's wishes, she is to be cremated.

She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered as a beacon of joy, strength, and artistic spirit.
