**Obituary for Arvil Lee Tackett**

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Arvil Lee Tackett, 89 years of Hillsboro, who left this world peacefully on May 22, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on August 5, 1935, in Floyd County, Kentucky, the son of the late James and Emily (Robinson) Tackett. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by three brother, James Richard Tackett, Ellis Ray Tackett, Thomas Edward Tackett; sister, Rosemary Benson and many special friends.

Arvil dedicated over 25 years of his life to Highco in Hillsboro, where his work ethic and dedication were admired by friends alike. As a man of few words, he communicated volumes through his radiant smile, which could light up any room. Arvil had an innate ability to love deeply and unconditionally, embracing everyone he met with open arms and a compassionate heart. He showed this love in numerous ways, from volunteering at the Humane Society to spending his time and talents at Stephanie's Pet Spa, all while never seeking the spotlight for himself.

In his quiet moments, Arvil found joy in creating - whether it was stringing beads, painting, or drawing. His artistic endeavors brought happiness not only to himself but also to those who were fortunate to receive his handmade gifts. A true friend to all, Arvil never judged others and lived his life with humility, seeking little in return for the abundance of love he gave.

Arvil is survived by his loving siblings: sister, Carol Chapman, brother Billy (Jackie) Tackett, and sister Emma Jean Konkle, as well as his sister-in-law Dorothy Tackett; special friends, Val, Darlene, Ben, Cathy, Katie, Emmy, Layne, Highco Staff; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. They, along with all who knew him, will carry on his legacy of compassion and warmth.
