Randy Scott Lindy, was called home to his

eternal reward in heaven and reunited with his

many loved ones, while surrounded by family,

on March 7, 2019 following a brief illness. By

his side, as she could always be found, was his

loving wife, best friend and soulmate, Sonja.

It was obvious, to anyone who knew them, that

she was his hearts desire and a kindred spirit

whom he adored. And she felt the same deep

rooted feelings for him. The two enjoyed 31

years of happiness together and would have

been married 19 years on March 11, 2019. Though

cut short, few of us ever experience the

true connection that Sonja and Randy were

fortunate enough to call their own.

Randy's family was paramount to him and even

 though circumstances weren't always ideal,

the ones he loved were always foremost in his

 thoughts. Daughters, Jamie (Brian), Rachelle

(Kyle) and Stephanie (Eric), and son Jason

(Morgan), were loved unconditionally by their

Dad. As were his grandchildren Tyler, Rylee,

Conner, Madyson and Allyson whom he adored

endlessly. And that love was returned to him by

his children and grandchildren, as was shown

by his son Jason, who gave his Dad the most

wonderful gift of happiness in his last weeks,

and his daughter Rachelle in making him smile

and loving him like a true Dad.

Randy was a warm and soft spoken man with a

heart of gold. For those of us who knew him, we

were the lucky ones, for we benefitted from his

many gifts. His giving nature, easy going way

and ability to passionately advise on an array of

subjects, allowed him to help so many over the

years. His exacting and fastidious work ethic

shines in many homes of his family, loved ones

 and strangers alike.

Randy was an avid hunter with the skill to

match his fervor for the sport. He loved that

his wife hunted as well and the two spent many

hours enjoying the outdoors together. Randy

was fortunate to spent the last few months

of his life doing that very thing; hunting 7

days a week. He and Sonja had retired and

found their paradise at Rocky Fork Lake in

Hillsboro, Ohio, known as Blueberry Hill. It

was there that he was able to fulfill a lifelong

dream in his last days; he landed a beautiful 11

 point Ohio Whitetail.

Randy hunted in the winter, but summers were

saved for riding his Harley. He was one of the

founders of the local chapter of R.A.A.D., Riders

Against Alzheimer's disease, in honor of his

beloved mother. His pride and joy was "Sassy",

a 2003 Anniversary Edition, Dyna Lowrider. His

motto was "Live to Ride, Ride to Live", which

he truly lived by. And although it was hell on

his mustache, "Wind Therapy" was the answer

to all of life's ills for Randy. It's where he was

happiest. With Sonja behind him, her loving

arms wrapped around him and the beautiful

 wide open road before him.

Randy was preceded in death by his Father,

Mother and most recently, his sister, Bonnie

(John). In addition to his family, Randy will be

profoundly missed by his many friends who

loved him dearly and many more who thought of

 him as "Everyone's Dad".

A very special thank you to Randy's

sister-in-law Kitty, who was there whenever

she was needed and for the love and support

she now gives Sonja in the days ahead. Her

kindness has been and will be indispensable.

Also, many thanks go to the doctors and staff

at Bethesda North Hospital, for the care and

 compassion they gave Randy.

A celebration of life will be held at Harley-

Davidson of Erie, on West 12th Street, Erie,

Pa on March 23, from 1-3 in the back meeting

room. There will be a Final Ride for Randy to

Kinzua Dam (Jakes Rocks), to be announced via

Facebook at a later date when weather permits.
